Ask a dog mom to show you a picture of her kids and there’s a good chance she’ll pull up a photo of a golden retriever. For dog parents, the dog is family, and the best Christmas gifts celebrate that.
Personalized pet gifts work because they’re about the one thing every dog owner loves to talk about: their dog. Here are our favorite ideas for 2026, from cozy to funny to sentimental.

Choosing the right photo of the dog
The photo makes or breaks a pet gift. A few tips:
- Face forward, eyes visible. For pet-face designs, a front-facing photo works best.
- Good light. Daylight near a window beats flash.
- Original file. Use the photo from the camera roll, not a screenshot or an image saved from social media.
- Nothing covering the face. Avoid toys, hands, or blankets in front of the dog.
